OUR HISTORY OUR FUTURE.
Cupertino Square’s new management is determined to reignite the renovation and expansion of the mall. Cupertino Square is the new identity for the former Vallco Fashion Park, which originated back in 1975.
In the early years, Vallco was considered the top mall in the South Bay along with Stanford Shopping Center. In 1989, the older and ailing Valley Fair Mall was remodeled, attracting new anchor tenants, which began to erode Vallco’s dominance. The competitive shift continued with Westfield’s acquisition of Valley Fair
and the creation of urban living/retail at Santana Row.
Through the 1990’s, the greater South Bay boomed with the growth of the high technology industry. This growth has led to Cupertino emerging at the center of the high technology industry and is now home to Apple, HP, and other top U.S. companies. Other large corporations are also within minutes, such as the headquarters of
Google and Yahoo.
Cupertino has become one of the most sought-after places to live in Silicon Valley. Its geographic location is ideally positioned between major peninsula cities and easy freeway access. Its school district is ranked Top 10 in the state and one of the elite places to get an education. The neighboring cities include Los Altos, Saratoga, Atherton, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Los Altos Hills and Palo Alto, which is home to over 30 billionaires as stated in San Jose Magazine.
Cupertino Square is the heart of the up and coming “Downtown” Cupertino. The City of Cupertino stands behind the remodeling and new development of Cupertino Square and views its revitalization as key to the master plan and building a strong community.

The new management’s vision is to create a new kind of retail experience with an emphasis on entertainment. Cupertino Square’s entertainment focus is well underway with the AMC 16 Theater, Strike Bowling & Entertainment Center, and the Ice Center of Cupertino. There will also be several themed restaurants and lounges to attract an even broader audience of entertainment-seekers. Additionally, a stage area will present local performing arts and live shows.

Cupertino Square is destined to be an outstanding location for regional retail and entertainment, while balancing a feeling of innovation and community for residents and businesses.
While prime spaces are still available, come be part of the excitement at Cupertino Square.
